Born and raised in a Gutnish speaking community in southern parts of Gotland. I have spent many years of research in both Old (older) Gutnish and especially in more modern forms. I also have a fairly good knowledge of the different  ‘dialects’ of Gutnish and I am a fluent speaker.

I welcome any feed-back, remarks and all the questions you like.

Have a nice day, my friends!

  1. Thank you so much for your heartfelt efforts in educating us about Gutnish. I visited Gotland in 1999 and was so greatly impressed by its history, beauty, and its people. I am eager to learn more about Old Gutnish, and the survival of this language today.

    • Thank you for your kind words. I haven´t written as much as I should though, but it will come more. Yes, we have a long and interesting history, but we are in the shadows of the rich history of British isles of course. You are always welcome back, both to these pages and to Gotland.
